Rock Climbing to Scuba Diving Whether you like heights or deep depths, Cayman Brac offers both, and everything in between. The Cayman Islands waters boast over 100 feet of visibility, making it one of the top diving destinations in the world. Scenic nature trails, cave exploration, and all watersports provide healthy activities for all ages, and competent levels. Over the last 10 years, Cayman Brac has begun attracting rock climbers to enjoy the scenic Bluff climb while being cooled by sea breezes. The reward at the top is a panoramic view of the sapphire blue Carribean Sea from 150 feet above sea level.   Bluff Cliff Face Rock Climbing Whether you want to climb the large boulders at the base of the Bluff or the more adventurous climbing of the face of the bluff, both are satisfying adventures. Several climbing sites have already been established, and you are welcome to follow them, or to blaze your own. Either way, the reward at the top is a cooling breeze with a spectacular view of the sapphire blue Caribbean Sea, against a blue topaz sky.   Poinciana Tree Flower Nature Trails Historic trails onto the Bluff from the northside road are marked with signage. Some begin with the original steep staircase of steps which are cut into the rock. With heights from 20-70 feet on top there is a great view of the area below with the sea beyond. Then turning onto the trail, its basically an easy paced walk, with minimal effort through the terrain of plant life. The fartherest eastern side, on top of The Bluff, is home to the only lighthouse. There is a scenic walking trail which winds through low vegatation, with views of the sapphire blue sea from 150 feet above sea level. The Booby Bird nesting grounds can be observed from the trail which allows walkers to stay at a safe distance from the edge. On the northside road, along the shoreline where the road ends, is Long Beach. From this area looking up at the cliffs of the Bluff it rises to the 150 foot height. Walking along the beach area, is over the hard limestone rock with holes that have caught sea water spray. The sun has turned this into pockets of seasalt. At the base of the Bluff you'll see beautiful flowering vines and vegetation.   View Over the Edge Lighthouse Walking Trail The fartherest eastern side, on top of The Bluff, is home to the only lighthouse. There is a scenic walking trail which winds at a safe distance from the edge of the bluff and is full of plants, palm trees and flowers. The Brown Booby Bird nesting grounds can be observed from the trail, and it's exciting to observe the young white downy feathered chicks At this height the edge drops the full 150 feet in sheer cliff to the cobalt blue sea below. Only the very brave venture to the edge for a look over.
